A mixture of 4-(3-phenyl-1,2,4-oxadiazol-5-yl)butanoic acid (1.44 g, 6.20 mmol), (2e)-3-pentyl-3,7-dihydro-1h-purine-2,6-dione 2-hydrazone (1.61 g, 6.82 mmol), benzotriazol-1-yloxytris(dimethylamino)phosphonium hexafluorophosphate (3.02 g, 6.82 mmol) and triethylamine (1.73 ml, 12.4 mmol) in DMF (30 ml) was stirred at room temperature overnight. The reaction was diluted with water and extracted with ethyl acetate (3×). The organic layer was washed with water and then brine, dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated to give the desired product (2.78 g, 99% yield) as yellowish oil. LCMS calculated for C22H27N8O3 (M+H): 451.2; found: 451.1.
