To a solution of N-methoxy-N-methyl-2-[1-methyl-5-(methylsulfanyl)-1H-pyrazol-3-yl]-3-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)propanamide (0.80 g) in tetrahydrofuran (30 mL) was slowly added vinylmagnesium bromide (1.0M tetrahydrofuran solution: 7.3 ml) at room temperature under a nitrogen atmosphere, and the mixture was stirred for 30 min. The reaction mixture was poured into an ice-cooled 1N hydrochloric acid, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The ethyl acetate layer was washed with saturated brine, dried (MgSO4), and concentrated. The obtained residue was subjected to silica gel column chromatography to give the title compound (0.60 g, yield 83%) as a colorless oil from the fraction eluted with ethyl acetate-hexane (4:1, volume ratio). MS: 295 (MH+).
