(R)-3-{4-[4-(3,5-dimethylpyridin-2-yl)piperazine-1-carbonyl]phenyl}-4-hydroxymethyloxazolidin-2-one (205 mg) described in Example 72 was dissolved in N,N-dimethylformamide (1 mL), sodium hydride (32 mg) was added, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 min. Iodomethane (142 mg) was added, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. Water was added to the reaction mixture, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was washed with saturated brine, and the solvent was evaporated. The residue was purified by column chromatography (chloroform:methanol) to give the title compound (19 mg).
