To a solution of [4-(aminomethyl)phenyl]boronic acid (145 mg, 0.966 mmol) in DMF (2 mL) was added 1-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-3-methyl-1H-pyrazole-5-carbonyl chloride (290 mg, 1.45 mmol) and triethylamine (403 μL, 2.90 mmol). The reaction was stirred for 2 h. It was then quenched and partitioned between EtOAc and H2O and the organic layer was concentrated to give {4-[({[1-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-3-methyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl]carbonyl}amino)methyl]phenyl}boronic acid.
