To the crude compound 1,1-dimethylethyl 3-[2-{[3-(diethylamino)-propyl]amino}-8-(2,6-difluorophenyl)-7-oxo-7,8-dihydropyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-yl]-5-fluoro-4-methylbenzoate trifluoroacetate in dichloromethane (1.5 mL, 23.3 mmol) were added TFA (0.703 mL, 9.5 mmol) and triethylsilane (0.281 mL, 1.82 mmol). The mixture was stirred at rt overnight. Separation by HPLC with TFA afforded the title compound (301 mg, 40%, 2 steps yield). LC-MS m/z 540 (M+H)+.
