In a manner similar to the method described in Example 1e, rac-(2R,3R,4R,5S)-3-(3-chloro-phenyl)-4-(4-chloro-phenyl)-4-cyano-5-(2,2-dimethyl-propyl)-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid trifluoroacetic acid prepared in Example 25a (0.5 g, 1.1 mmol) was reacted with 3-amino-1-propanol (Aldrich) (0.4 g, 5.3 mmol), HATU (0.5 g, 1.31 mmol) and iPr2NEt (1 g, 7.7 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (30 mL) at room temperature for 24 h to give rac-(2R,3R,4R,5S)-3-(3-chloro-phenyl)-4-(4-chloro-phenyl)-4-cyano-5-(2,2-dimethyl-propyl)-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid (3-hydroxy-propyl)-amide as a white solid (0.56 g, 93%).
