(4-Chloro-phenyl)-{9-methyl-2-[3-methyl-5-(tetrahydro-pyran-2-yloxymethyl)-pyrazol-1-yl]-9H-purin-6-yl}-amine (240 mg, 0.53 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (30 mL). p-Toluenesulfonic acid monohydrate (90 mg, 0.48 mmol) was added and the reaction mixture was heated to reflux for 24 hours. Upon cooling a white crystalline compound was formed. The crystals were stirred with potassium carbonate (2 M), collected by filtration, washed with water and dried to give {2-[6-(4-chloro-phenyl-amino)-9-methyl-9H-purin-2-yl]-5-methyl-2H-pyrazol-3-yl}-methanol (60 mg, 31%)
