The procedure was carried out as described previously in step (a) of Example 5 with Compound 8 (0.74 g, 2.7 mmol), POCl3 (506 μL, 5.4 mmol), and DMF (8.6 mL). Compound 9 was obtained (0.31 g) as a viscous yellow liquid and used without any further purification. The structure of Compound 9 is given below:
