Procedure
3-[4-(4,4-Ethylenedioxypiperidin-1-yl)phenyl]-1-(4-ethylpiperazin-1-yl)isoquinoline (290 mg) obtained in Example 96 was treated with camphorsulfonic acid and methanol. Then, a 2N aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid (50 ml) was added thereto, and the mixture was reacted for 1 hr. The reaction solution was basified and extracted with ethyl acetate. The resulting organic layer was washed with water and brine, and dried over magnesium sulfate. The solvent was evaporated, the resulting residue was dissolved in methanol (20 ml), and then it was reacted with sodium borohydride (54 mg). The reaction solution was evaporated, and the resulting residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (methylene chloride/methanol system), to give 119 mg of the free compound of the title compound as a white solid.
