Procedure
(R)-1-(5-Hydroxyhexyl)-7-ethoxymethyl-8-amino-3-methylxanthine libraries synthesized as described in Example 33 were treated with a solution composed of concentrated hydrochloric acid and ethanol (1:4, 0.8 ml per well) and the block was heated in an oven at 80° C. for 12 hours. Remaining reagents and byproducts were evaporated under reduced pressure providing (R)-1-(5-hydroxyhexyl)-8-amino-3-methylxanthine libraries.
