6-(Acetylamino)naphthalene-2-sulfonyl chloride (280 mg, 0.987 mmol) was added to a solution of benzylamine (127 mg, 1.19 mmol) and triethylamine (0.17 ml, 1.22 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (3.0 ml), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. Water (10 ml) was added to the reaction solution, and after the mixture was stirred for 10 minutes, the resulting solid was collected. The solid was washed with water and a mixed solvent of ethyl acetate/isopropyl ether (1/1) to give the title compound as a white solid (307 mg, 87.7%).
