[4-({2-[(Isoquinolin-1-ylmethyl)-amino]-5-nitro-pyrimidin-4-ylamino}-methyl)-cyclohexyl]-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (1.64 g, 3.24 mmol) was dissolved in CH2Cl2 (50 mL) and TFA (15 mL) was added. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 min. The reaction mixture was treated with 1M Na2CO3 and the organic phase was separated. The organic phase was dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated. Silica gel purification using a mixture of CH2Cl2:MeOH:NH4OH yielded 1.1 g of the title compound (84%), m/z 406.2 (M−1)+.
