A mixture of 4-chloro-6,7-dimethoxy-3-quinolinecarboxamide (0.046 g, 0.17 mmol), 4-amino-1-indanone (0.036 g, 0.24 mmol) and acetic acid (40 μl) in DMF (0.6 ml) was heated at 100° C. for 1 h 45 min. After cooling, the mixture was diluted with water and made alkaline with saturated NaHCO3. The precipitate was collected by filtration, washed with water and dried to give title compound (59 mg, 90%).
