Procedure
The product from Example 41A (17.5 mg, 0.0855 mmol), DMAP (catalytic amount), and pyridine (21 μL, 0.26 mmol) were combined in CH2Cl2 (0.5 mL) and treated with 4-tert-butylbenzoyl chloride (33 μL, 0.17 mmol). After stirring for 1 hour, the mixture was diluted with saturated NaHCO3 (1 mL) and extracted with CH2Cl2 (3×1 mL). The organic layer was dried (Na2SO4), filtered, and the filtrate concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by flash chromatography (50% diethyl ether in hexanes) to provide the title compound. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3)δ 8.59 (dd, 1H), 7.91 (br s, 1H), 7.83 (d, 2H), 7.81 (dd, 1H), 7.78 (d, 4H), 7.51 (d, 2H), 7.21 (dd, 1H), 1.36 (s, 9H); MS (m/z) 365.
