A mixture of 4-pyridin-4-yl-1,3-dihydroindol-2-one (60 mg, 0.3 mmol), 3-methyl-4-(piperidine-1-carbonyl)-1H-pyrrole-2-carbaldehyde (75 mg, 0.34 mmol) and piperidine (0.14 mL) in ethanol (2 mL) was stirred at 100° C. overnight. The reaction was column chromatographed (2–3% methanol in dichloromethane) to give 20 mg (17%) of the title compound as a yellow orange solid.
