Procedure

The 1-(3-{(E)-3-[(2-cyanoethyl)amino]-3-oxo-1-propenyl}-8-[(E)-2-(4-isopropyl -1,3-thiazol-2-yl)-1-ethenyl]-4-oxo-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-2-yl)-3-piperidyl acetate (57.3 mg, 0.102 mmol) obtained in (B) was suspended in acetonitrile (3.0 ml), added with sodium azide (13.3 mg, 0.204 mmol) and trifluoromethanesulfonic acid anhydride (25.8 μl, 0.153 mmol) under ice cooling, and then the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. The reaction mixture was further added with sodium azide (13.3 mg, 0.204 mmol) and trifluoromethanesulfonic acid anhydride (25.8 μl, 0.153 mmol), and stirred for 3 hours. The reaction mixture was added with saturated aqueous sodium hydrogencarbonate and extracted with chloroform, and the organic layer was dried over magnesium sulfate. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure, and the residue was purified by thin layer chromatography (hexane:ethyl acetate=1:2→1:3→0:1, v/v) to obtain the title compound (26.8 mg, 45%).
