2-Hydroxy-8-[(E)-2-(4-isopropyl-1,3-thiazol-2-yl)-1-ethenyl]-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]-pyrimidin-4-one (210 mg, 0.670 mmol) was suspended in dimethylformamide (6.0 ml), added with diisopropylethylamine (600 μl) and 3-(iodomethyl)tetrahydrofuran (334 μl), and stirred overnight at 80° C. The reaction solution was further added with diisopropylethylamine (600 μl) and 3-(iodomethyl)tetrahydrofuran (334 μl) and stirred overnight at 80° C. The reaction mixture was concentrated, and the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (chloroform:methanol=100:0→100:1→100:2→100:5, v/v) to obtain the title compound (277 mg, quantitative).
