To a solution of 1.1 g 3-Amino-4-methoxy-benzoic acid methyl ester and 1 g (2,4-Dichloro-phenyl)-acetic acid in 15 ml CH2Cl2, 2.7 ml NEt3 and 1.24 g BOP-Cl and 10 mg DMAP were added. After stirring over night the solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the residue directly purified by chromatography on silica with ethyl acetate/heptane 1:5->1:1 to yield the ester as a yellow oil.
