Procedure
0.5 ml of triethylamine and 5 ml of methyl isocyanate were added to a solution of 13.9 g of 3-hydroxy-5-allylthio-1,2,4-thiadiazole in 150 ml of tetrahydrofuran and the mixture was stirred at 20° C for 2 hours and was concentrated to dryness under reduced pressure. The residue was empasted with ethyl ether and was vacuum filtered and dried to obtain 15.9 g of 2-(N-methylcarbamoyl)-5-allylthio-1,2,4-thiadiazole-3-one melting at 110° C.
