A mixture of 2-(methylsulfonyl)-4-[4-(methylsulfonyl)phenyl]-6-(trifluoromethyl)pyrimidine (0.5 g, 1.314 mmol) and (cyclobutylmethyl)amine (0.24 g) in NMP (5 ml) was stirred at ambient temperature for 18 h. Water (50 ml) was then added, and the resulting precipitate was collected by filtration and dried, giving the title compound as a cream solid (0.434 g).
