To a vial containing 1-isocyanato-2-methylbenzene (0.0166 g, 0.125 mmol) was added ethyl 5,6,7,8-tetrahydroimidazo[1,2-a]pyrazine-2-carboxylate (0.024 g, 0.125 mmol), DIPEA (0.0762 mL, 0.438 mmol), and DMF (1.5 mL). The solution was shaken at room temperature for 16 h, then concentrated to give crude ethyl 7-(o-tolylcarbamoyl)-5,6,7,8-tetrahydroimidazo[1,2-a]pyrazine-2-carboxylate.
