A mixture of 3-(2,5-dichloropyrimidin-4-yl)-1H-indole (Intermediate 11, 391 mg, 1.48 mmol), 4-fluoro-2-methoxy-5-nitroaniline (Intermediate 23, 289 mg, 1.55 mmol) and p-toluenesulfonic acid monohydrate (310 mg, 1.63 mmol) in 2-pentanol (25 mL) was heated at 125° C. for 18 h. The mixture was cooled and used in the next step without further purification; m/z: ES+ MH+ 414.12.
