To a solution of 5-(hydroxy-pyridin-2-yl-methyl)-4′-methyl-biphenyl-3-carboxylic acid (25 mg, 0.078 mmol) in N,N-dimethylformamide (1 mL) were added (R)-1-(6-methylpyridin-3-yl)ethanamine dihydrochloride (35 mg, 0.17 mmol), N,N,N′,N′-tetramethyl-O-(7-azabenzotriazol-1-yl)uronium hexafluorophosphate (50 mg, 0.13 mmol), and N,N-diisopropylethylamine (200 μL, 1.15 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred for 16 hours at 25° C., and then purified by preparative HPLC (100×21.2 mm C18 column, CH3CN/water[10 mM Et2N11]) to afford a light color solid.
