To tert-butyl (3-((3-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)pyridin-2-yl)oxy)cyclobutyl)carbamate (348 mg, 1 mmol) was added 4 M HCl in MeOH (100 mL). The solution was stirred at RT for 2 hours. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure to give 3-((3-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)pyridin-2-yl)oxy)cyclobutanamine hydrochloride (248 mg, 0.95 mmol, yield 95%). ESI-MS (M+1): 249 calc. for C19H28N2O4 248.
