To a suspension of 5-((1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)methoxy)-N-(2-methyl-4-(trifluoromethoxy)benzyl)-2-nitroaniline (187 mg, 0.43 mmol) in ethanol (30 mL) was added SnCl2.2H2O (482 mg, 2.21 mmol). The resulting mixture was heated at 90° Celsius. After overnight, the mixture was cooled to RT and diluted with saturated NaHCO3 (40 mL). The resulting mixture was extracted with DCM (3×50 mL). The combined organics were concentrated to dryness to provide the title compound, which was used without further purification. MS (ESI): mass calcd. for C20H21F3N4O2, 406.16; m/z found, 407 [M+H]+.
