A mixture of palladium(II)acetate (4 mg; 0.02 mmol) and (2-biphenyl) dicyclohexylphosphine (14 mg; 0.04 mmol) in dioxane (5 mL) was stirred under argon for 10 min at 20° C. (6-Chloro-pyridin-2-yl)-phenyl-amine (100 mg; 0.5 mmol), 3-methoxy-4-(4-methyl-imidazol-1-yl)-phenylamine (99 mg; 0.5 mmol), and potassium carbonate (1.35 g; 10 mmol) were added and the mixture was refluxed under argon for 3 h. After quenching the reaction by addition of water, the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic phase was dried over sodium sulfate, concentrated under reduced pressure. The crude product was purified by column chromatography on silica gel using dichloromethane/0-20% methanol as eluent to give the title compound (42 mg, 23%) as a light yellow solid.
