A solution of 8-(3,4-difluorophenyl)-1,4-dioxaspiro[4.5]decan-8-ol (3 mmole) in acetone (100 ml) and concentrated HCl (1 ml) was reacted as described in example 25 to give the product (48%, mp: 84-85° C.). Calc'd for C12H12F2O2 : C, 63.72%; H, 5.35%. Found: C, 62.72%; H, 5.24%.
