N,N′-Dimethyl-N-(2-methyl-6-nitro-quinazolin-4-yl)-benzene-1,4-diamine: To a mixture of 0.15 g (0.67 mmol) of 4-chloro-2-methyl-6-nitro-quinazoline in i-PrOH (10 mL) and concd HCl (0.2 mL) was added 0.1 g (0.73 mmol) of N,N′-dimethyl-benzene-1,4-diamine, and the mixture was stirred at ambient temperature for 18 hours. The precipitate occurred during the reaction was collected and washed with Et2O to give 0.19 mg of the title compound as the HCl salt. LC-MS (ESI+; 324 ([M+H]+)).
