The titled compound was prepared in analogy to examples 2.2 and 2.3 using 2-chloro-5-(chloromethyl)pyridine 1-oxide (712 mg, 4 mmol), (3aS,6aS)-ethyl hexahydropyrrolo[3,4-b]pyrrole-5(1H)-carboxylate (1.1 g, 5.97 mmol), and K2CO3 (553 mg, 4 mmol). The obtained crude product was used without further purification in the next reaction step.
