Procedure

A mixture of (4-hydroxymethylcyclohexane-1-yl) methanesulfonamide (0.58 g), sodium hydride (0.23 g), 6-chloroimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine (0.43 g) and dimethylformamide (20 ml) was stirred for 3 hours at 85° -90° C. The reaction solution was concentrated under reduced pressure and the residue was poured into water (20 ml). The mixture was adjusted to pH 7.0 with 1 N-hydrochloric acid. The precipitated crystals were collected by filtration and recrystallized from a mixture of ethanol and ethyl ether to afford the above-identified compound (0.44 g).
