This compound was prepared in a fashion analogous to the procedure described in Example 3. Thus, 5-(3-fluorophenyl)-3-(4-piperidinyl)-1H-indazole-7-carboxamide (Intermediate 15) (106 mg, 0.222 mmol) was reacted with 3-chloropropane sulfonyl chloride (34 uL, 0.275 mmol) in the presence of triethyl amine (124 uL, 0.888 mmol) in DMF (4 mL) to give 3-{1-[(3-chloropropyl)sulfonyl]-4-piperidinyl}-5-(3-fluorophenyl)-1H-indazole-7-carboxamide, which was used in the next step without further purification.
