6-(Cyclohexylamino)-5-nitropyridin-2-ol (1.35 g, 5.69 mmol) was dissolved in DCM (1150 mL). Methanesulfonyl chloride (0.782 g, 6.83 mmol) and triethylamine (1.152 g, 11.38 mmol) was added. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 h, acidified with 1 M HCl and extracted with DCM. The organic layers were combined, washed with water, dried over Na2SO4, and concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound without further purification. LCMS m/z=316.30 [M+H]+.
