Procedure

A suspension of compound 77 (1.0 g, 4.8 mmol) and 0.1 g of PtO2 in 50 mL of acetic acid was stirred under a H2 atmosphere (50 psi) at ambient temperature for 6 hours. After filtering and evaporating off the solvent, 1.1 g crude product was obtained. The compound was used directly in the next step without further purification. LC-MS m/z 211 (M−H+).
