Procedure
A mixture of 1-(3-hydroxyphenyl)-3-(1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)pyridazin-4(1H)-one (0.113 g, 0.342 mmol) and 2-chlorobenzimidazole (0.075 g, 0.49 mmol) in Et3N (1 mL) was sealed and stirred at 120° C. for 14 h and then at 160° C. for 64 h. After this time, the reaction was diluted with ethyl acetate (50 mL), washed with saturated sodium bicarbonate aqueous solution (40 mL), and then with 2 N sodium hydroxide (3×20 mL). The organic layer was washed with brine, dried over magnesium sulfate, filtered and concentrated. Flash chromatography (silica, methylene chloride to 1:19 methanol/methylene chloride) afforded 1-[3-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yloxy)phenyl]-3-(1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)pyridazin-4(1H)-one (33 mg, 18%) as a light-yellow solid.
