Procedure

0.12 ml of diethylamine was added to a solution of 0.79 g of syn isomer of 3-acetoxymethyl-7-[2-(2-tritylamino-4-thiazolyl)-2-(2-bromoethoxyimino)-acetamido]-ceph-3-eme-4-carboxylic acid in 5 ml of ethyl acetate and the mixture was stirred and vacuum filtered. The recovered product was rinsed with ethyl acetate and dried to obtain the syn isomer of diethylamine 3-acetoxymethyl-7-[2-(2-tritylamino-4-thiazolyl)-2-(2-bromoethoxyimino)-acetamido]-ceph-3-eme-4-carboxylate.
