4.60 g (15.28 mmol) 6-bromo-2-bromomethyl-quinoline are added to a solution of 1.40 mL (16.8 mmol) pyrrolidine and 6.34 g (45.9 mmol) K2CO3 in 50 mL acetonitrile. The reaction is stirred overnight at RT and then the inorganic salts are filtered off. The organic phase is washed with water and the aqueous phase is extracted with EtOAc. The combined organic extracts are dried over MgSO4 and the solvent is eliminated i.vac.
