To a solution of 2,3-dichloroquinoxaline (2.0 g, 10.0 mmol) in 10 mL of 1,4-dioxane was added triethyl amine (1.81 g, 18 mmol) and followed by 2-amino-4-methylpentan-1-ol (1.4 g, 12 mmol). The reaction mixture was separated into 2 microwave tubes. And then the mixture was stirred in microwave for 10 minutes at 130° C. The combined reaction mixture was diluted with 150 mL of ethyl acetate and then was washed with water (20 mL), brine (20 mL), dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated. The crude product was purified by flash column chromatography eluted with ethyl acetate and hexanes to give the titled compound (2.3 g, 69%)
