6-(3,3-Diethoxyprop-1-ynyl)-N,N,5-trimethyl-3-oxo-4-[3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-3,4-dihydropyrazine-2-carboxamide (0.028 g, 0.062 mmol) was dissolved in DMF (1 ml) in a microwave vial. 4-Cyanophenylhydrazine hydrochloride (0.013 g, 0.074 mmol) was added. The vial was sealed and heated with stirring to 120° C. for 5 minutes. The crude mixture was purified on preparative HPLC to give 9 mg (29%) of the title compound as a white solid.
