To a stirred solution of 3-(ethyl(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)amino)-5-(6-formylpyridin-3-yl)-2-methyl-N-((6-methyl-2-oxo-4-propyl-1,2-dihydropyridin-3-yl)methyl)benzamide (0.315 g, 0.59 mmol) in EDC (8 mL) at 0° C., was added morpholine (0.1 g, 1.18 mmol) and stirred at rt for 10 min. NaBH(OAc)3 (0.377 g, 1.78 mmol) was then added and stirred for 16 h. On completion, reaction was quenched with water. MeOH (8 mL) was added and layers were separated and extracted with 10% MeOH in DCM, and purified on column chromatography to afford the title compound (0.2 g, 56%).
