Procedure

To a solution of (2S,4S)-tert-butyl 4-hydroxy-2-methyl-2-(thiazol-2-ylcarbamoyl)pyrrolidine-1-carboxylate (0.49 g, 1.5 mmol) in CH2Cl2 was added TFA (1 ml, excess). The reaction mixture was stirred at RT for 14 h and concentrated. The residue was used for the next step without purification. LC/MS [M+H]+: 228; Ret time (Method F): 0.46 min.
