To a solution of 1.3 g 5-[2-((S)-2-carboxy-pyrrolidin-1-yl)-2-oxo-ethoxy]-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester in 20 ml DMF were added 1.28 g HATU and 0.56 ml DIPEA. After 10 minutes 0.29 ml aminomethylcyclopropane were added. After 12 h the reaction mixture was diluted with dichloromethane and extracted with aqueous LiCl (4%), 0.1 M HCl and saturated aqueous NaHCO3. The crude product obtained after evaporation of the solvent was used in the subsequent reaction. Yield: 1.45 g.
