1.1 g (3.5 mmol) of methyl 3-(3,4-diaminobenzyl)-2-oxo-2,3-dihydrobenzoxazole-5-carboxylate and 626 mg (3.9 mmol) of 1,1′-carbonyldiimidazole are stirred at room temperature for 24 h in 10 ml of THF. The reaction mixture is added to 150 ml of water, and the resultant precipitate is filtered off with suction and dried in vacuo; product; 1.1 g; ESI: 340 (M+H).
