Procedure
To a solution triphenylphosphine (373 mg, 1.42 mmol) and diethyl azodicarboxylate (225 μL, 1.42 mmol) in THF (6 mL) at 0° was added a solution of N-tert-butyloxy carbonyl-L-tert-butylglycyl-L-leucinol 10 (313 mg, 0.950 mmol) and thioacetic acid (100 μL, 1.42 mmol) in THF (4 mL). The mixture was stirred at 0° for 2 h and the solvent was removed under vacuum. The residue was purified by flash chromatography (SiO2, 10-30% EtOAc-hexane) to give the corresponding title compound 11 in 63% yield (232 mg).
