Procedure
An aqueous sodium acrylate solution and an aqueous sodium maleate solution were prepared by neutralizing acrylic acid and maleic anhydride, respectively, with an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution. The aqueous solution polymerization of the two solutions was effected in the presence of ammonium persulfate at 100° C. for 5 h to obtain a dyeability-improving agent comprising sodium salt of the copolymer.
