A mixture of 180 mg of N2-(3-methoxypropyl)-N6-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yloxy)-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline-2,6(1H)-dicarboxamide in 4 ml methanol and 6 ml of an aqueous 0.1 N HCl is stirred overnight at ambient temperature and evaporated. The residue is dissolved in acetonitrile and water and lyophilized. 115 mg of the title compound are obtained. MH+=308.2
