Procedure
Methylamine (2 M in THF; 32.0 mL, 64.0 mmol) is added at 10° C. to 6-chloro-2-(2,2-difluoro-ethoxy)-5-nitro-nicotinic acid methyl ester (9.1 g, 30.7 mmol) in THF (50 mL). After 1 h at rt the reaction mixture is concentrated, treated with water and filtered. The filtercake is washed with water and dried to give the sub-title compound.
