A solution of the product of Example 1E (40 mg, 0.114 mmole), pyrimidine-5-boronic acid (CAS #109299-78-7) (21 mg, 0.169 mmole), dichlorobis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(II) (8 mg, 0.01 mmole) and potassium carbonate (47 mg, 0.34 mmole) in 1 ml isopropanol was heated at 85° C. overnight with stirring. The reaction was then quenched with water and extracted three times with dichloromethane. The combined organic layers were washed with brine, dried over sodium sulfate, filtered, and concentrated. The crude product was purified by column chromatography (eluted by 0.35% ammonium hydroxide and 3.5% methanol in dichloromethane) to give 33 mg (82% yield) of title compound. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ ppm 9.23 (s, 1H), 9.02 (s, 2H), 8.12 (d, J=8.59 Hz, 1H), 8.06 (d, J=1.84 Hz, 1H), 7.67 (dd, J=8.44, 1.99 Hz, 1H), 3.83-3.94 (m, 1H), 3.46-3.62 (m, 1H), 2.99-3.14 (m, 1H), 2.64-2.85 (m, 3H), 2.43-2.64 (m, 2H), 2.23-2.40 (m, 1H), 1.89-2.03 (m, 1H), 1.78-1.91 (m, 1H), 1.67-1.78 (m, 1H), 1.42-1.56 (m, 1H), 1.14 (d, J=4.91 Hz, 3H). MS: (M+H)+=351.
