Prepared from 3-methylthiopropionyl chloride (2.76 g) and 2-phenylethylamine (5.04 g) by the method used in Example 10(a). The solid product (3.79 g) was pure by t.l.c. A sample crystallised from aqueous methanol as needles m.p. 56°-59°.
