Following the same procedure as for 9a, from 4-Chloro-2-[2-phthalimido-1-(2,3,5,6-tetrahydropyran-2-yl)oxyethyl]-7-azaindole (950 mg, 2.2 mmol) in EtOH (50 ml) and NH2NH2.H2O (250 μl, 4.4 mmol). After a reaction time of 3 h. a diastereomeric mixture (1:1) of 9c (640 mg, 97%/o) was obtained.
