A solution of 9a (7.4 g, 28 mmol) and DIPEA (5 ml, 28 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (300 ml) was slowly added to a solution of triphosgene (2.82 g, 10 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (740 ml) and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 min. The organic mixture was washed with saturated aq. NH4Cl and with water. The organic solution was dried and evaporated to give a diastereomeric mixture (1:1) of 10a (6.06 g, 76%).
